Years of art exploration and careers have created the basis of Chrissie`s work. Many years in the retail world have also honed a design sensibility in Chrissie`s work to produce a desired beauty and balance to compliment materials and interiors.
"My practise in ceramics and specifically in sculpture has developed from a lifetime in aesthetically driven environments. What I produce is more instinctual and sparked by a thought of 'how can I produce something and mould it in my mind first?' I always strive to find a balanced beauty. Stoneware is my preferred medium and neutral colours in glaze allow the beauty of the clay to sing and emphasize my hand worked moulded techniques"
