Bailey, a glass artist from ACT, blends the timeless craft of glassblowing with contemporary artistic Innovation.
Bailey`s work commonly uses the traditional Venetian glassblowing techniques of cane working and murine to create patterns on his vessels. Molten glass is formed into solid cylinder shape with colour added in various ways.
"My forms are asymmetrical and amorphous, they seem as if they were oozing and shifting around but now are frozen in place; capturing the very essence of working with molten glass. I like my compositions to explore a story of how patterns and colours can interact with each other."
